It is sometimes good to bounce ideas off someone who is frank, honest and independent. It is still more useful to have someone who can constructively challenge preconceived ideas and opinions. Better still, someone who has the experiences and the scars from a lifetime in various industries who can point out potential pitfalls.
Mentoring is not about giving advice, it is about helping someone to make their own decisions, constructively, positively and with a maximum level of risk awareness and mitigation.
If you are interested, then we first need to meet and ensure that we can form the appropriate relationship and that we can add value to you. Should we then continue, the mentoring itself can be conducted face-to-face or over Skype, at a time and frequency that it mutually agreeable.
