Mike Morris is a Level IV solution sales professional who has led sales teams in both a UK and International context for technology manufacturers and systems integrators. He has held a number of senior management and senior sales roles.. His previous roles include: Head of Education (EMEA) for Cisco, Head of Public Sector for Logicalis, and International Solutions Architect for Alcatel. His first senior sales role started over twenty years ago when he was appointed Global Account Director for Granada’s global American Airlines/SABRE ICT maintenance contract.

Mike’s sales career can be summarised as consistently over target with high customer retention and repeat business, working almost always at board level. He is however capable of working at all levels within a customer organisation from technician to government minister. His
greatest successes have come from sales / business development, including team management and he has repeatedly developed successful and highly sought-after sales teams.

Some of Mike’s sales achievements include: key universities and colleges the sales of an outsourcing and management contract for Intel’s UK workshops and the ICT maintenance of all Intel’s facilities in Europe; ICT outsourcing contract for a large national retail group and leading the sale of a major supply, management and maintenance contract to a London Primary Care Trust. Recently Mike has developed partners and customers for Tiani-Spirit UK, Capita,
x-tention and Zeetta Networks.

He previously led a team of recognised education and social innovation leaders, in a programme designed to improve the education outcomes of all young people, regardless of the route they take through secondary and tertiary education and training. The programme covers Higher and Further Education, Schools and alternative centres designed to attract those disengaged from education, in both formal and informal learning scenarios. The objectives were to introduce a culture that values the individual, not just the qualification and helps all learners to achieve their optimum outcome.

As part of this he worked closely with Young Offender’s Institutes and juvenile offenders to encourage them to use education as a means to prevent re-offending. He also worked within schools to assist teachers to bring industry relevance to lessons and to help students with careers guidance. This included the mentoring of young people both in prison and in the community to help them to have a productive and valuable career. He is a former governor of Lewisham College and worked as part of the development team for University Technical Colleges. Whenever he has time teaches SCUBA diving to young people who live in or visit the Southwest, where he now lives.

Mike has a technical background with a degree in Electronics from Cardiff University and has worked variously as a seismic engineer, COBOL programmer, mainframe maintenance engineer, image processing engineer, engineering manager and programme director, account manager and sales /manager director. He has worked in strategic roles in all sizes of organisational from startup/SME to global corporates.
